The Growing importance of laboratory diagnostics

In recent years, laboratory diagnostics has become increasingly widely used and is becoming a key tool in modern medicine. Unlike in the past, when its role was mainly focused on basic biochemical examinations, today it performs a number of important functions that have a fundamental impact on the quality of healthcare.

    Its most important benefits include:

These advances have contributed to the emergence of innovative approaches such as personalized medicine or companion diagnostics - diagnostics designed in conjunction with a specific drug to treat specific diseases. Their goal is to achieve the highest possible effectiveness of treatment not only in terms of health benefits, but also in terms of cost-effectiveness.

Nevertheless, laboratory diagnostics remain undervalued in many cases - whether by the state administration, healthcare facilities, the professional community, health insurance providers or patients themselves. That is why one of the key tasks of our association is to raise awareness of the importance of laboratory medicine and its benefits for doctors, patients and healthcare buyers.
